Lareau Insurance Brokers turns to web 2.0
MONTREAL, APRIL 22, 2010 – The website of Lareau Insurance Brokers successfully joined the world of web 2.0 thanks to the work of TP1 Internet 360, a web agency specializing in interactive communication, and Adviso, a firm specializing in Internet marketing and strategy. Visitors to the site can now “like” Lareau’s Facebook page by clicking on the Facebook icon directly on the site. Another new item, the consulting in insurance section, acts as a blog to inform the general public on current events in the insurance world.
“Very often, insurance seems like a complex issue outside our grasp. We wanted to put an end to that cliché by providing simple, clear advice to all the site’s users,” said Philippe Lareau, administrative director of the company. The first subject discussed is protecting yourself when using social media. Tather than fuelling the recent controversy surrounding the potential use of personal information leading to insurers increasing premiums, Lareau has decided to inform its clients on how to protect themselves. The new site also added a human touch, presenting each of its 65 insurance brokers with pictures in order to reflect a personalized quality of service.
In short, Lareau’s new site makes understanding the issues surrounding insurance easier than ever, helping them choose the product that suits them best.
